Game 5 of the World Series gets washed out at just the right time

Boy, it sure was lucky for Tampa Bay that Carlos Pena got his amazing single in the sixth inning that brought in a run tying up the game at 2 runs apiece.

Can you imagine being Tampa Bay if the umpires had actually gone ahead and called the game due to the field being unplayable (which they could have easily done two innings prior to the sixth) with the score sitting in favor of the Phillies at 2-1?

The tying run made it a no brainer for e the officials to go ahead and suspend the game, but I still cannot imagine having lost the world series after coming so far due to the rain.

The terrible weather had already put a damper on Tampa Bays running game, but I will tell you...watching Upton steal second base on a hydroplane was truly amazing!

Go Rays!!!
