Last year the New York Giants won the Super Bowl. A few months later 27 Super Bowl rings were stolen. In June of 2008, a Massachusetts jewelery manufacturer reported that along with jewels and gems, 27 Super Bowl rings made for the New York Giants and valued at $170,000 were stolen during a robbery.
The rings were found on Tuesday. Investigators found the rings in a safe deposit box in Saugus, Massachusetts. The women who rented the box, Kristen Sullivan, is being arraigned on Wednesday on charges of receiving stolen property.
On Friday, along with two others, Sullivan was arrested for the $2 million robbery of E.A. Dion Inc. in which they stole the rings. According to reports, Sean Murphy had one of the Super Bowl rings in his bedroom at his house.
