Less Football Fans than 2 years ago, in Chile

Chile is one those country that greatly enjoys football as their favorite spectator sports. But according to an article in Total Chile, Chileans seems to have lessened their enthusiasm in the sports when compared two years ago.

A local survey conducted by Adimark / National Soccer Association to 800 adults showed that the popularity of the sport where down a bit.

But despite of slight decline of football fans, 9 out of 10 of the surveyed were positive at national team after it was assured at slot in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Nike vs. Adidas

When it comes sportswear, shoes, shirts, sock, everything, there are only 2 brands that come into my mind - Nike and Adidas. When I come looking for a shoe for basketball, I only check shops of these 2 brands.

Both brands dominates the industry of sports wear. And competition is tough on them. There is even what media called "the battle of the jersey giants", where the giant sportswear maker from Germany - Adidas is being challenged by the American-maker, Nike, to became the main sponsor of Germany's national soccer team.

Well whoever win, Nike and Adidas would still be my top picks.
