By the end of this year, two thousand and nine, BMW will be pulling out the Formula One competitions. In a press conference that was held in July, this was of the matters that were discussed.
Even under private ownership, BMW has not made any confirmation as to whether or not they would have a team continue with their Concorde Agreement. It also is not know whether or not the team would still have access to BMW engines.
Under the agreement, the company should simply be bound to the sport until the year two thousand and twelve.
