Name of your website?

Football Team Finder

Your name?

Football Team Finder

Your Location (city, etc)

London

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Football Team Finder is a website that was set up to help football players of all ages, gender and ability search for teams that are advertising for new players in their area. Essentially it is a portal where teams advertise for new football players and the players themselves search for relevant opportunities.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Nothing similar...and those that did offer a similar service didn't do it very well.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is my first...launch date 13th September 2007.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

After much thought! I wanted something that hit the nail on the head and had a name that described the service being offered.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

professionalism and the site is run by a dedicated current Saturday league football player.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To develop the website and make it an important tool for Saturday and Sunday league football teams.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Not sure at present....but confident!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

FLASH driven website.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, I have a number of contingencies in place should this happen.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Being let down by website developers.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Co-ordinating everything to be ready at the same time i.e. the site, logo's, banners etc

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Flyers

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Much more time consuming

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

3 months of development...plan to hold it permanently.

Who is the target audience?

Football Teams and Football Players.

What is your website address?

Football Team Finder
