Select from a variety of stylish finished arrows, do-it- yourself kits, arrow building accessories or bare shafts. Order on-line, by phone or receive a brochure and order form through the mail.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

RCA has been an arrow shaft distributor for many years, recent tax changes have encouraged us to sell retail.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Our first website was launched in 2000 as a distributor listing only.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Our website name is the same as our business name which was acquired from it's start in Portland, OR. Then moved to Myrtle Point years later primarily due to the location of the wood that is processed.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Rose City Archery uses only Port Orford Cedar wood to make arrows and shafts, Port Orford Cedar is prized for it's strength, straight grain and consistency. RCA has been in business for 75 years, we do one thing and we do it very well.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our goal is to keep producing the best Port Orford Cedar arrows and shafts in the world and to ensure they are readily available for every archer to purchase.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We already have put a lot into our website and we are very happy with it .

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, our retail sales our very important, orders and outgoing shipments are given priority.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

No headaches, we love this business.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Integrating search engine optimization with web design and the shopping cart.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Search engine optimization.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It takes a lot of time and detail to run a website effectively.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Our new site has been active for about 1 1/2 years, we will continue to keep it active as long as we are in business.

What is your website address?

Rose City Archery, Inc.
